In the distance in front of you slightly to the right is an old Ash tree. Standing alone ,this ancient Ash tree is believed to be the oldest in the park and  pre dates the landscaping.  It may have been part of the hedgerow present on the original farmland. The trunk has grown around a cast iron pipe, some think this was part of the old sewer system.
